In one year alone, Orphanage Emmanuel, located in Guaimaca, Honduras took in nearly 100 children after a fire at a government orphanage in the northern part of Honduras. Along with other new children, Orphanage Emmanuel’s population grew by 25% in just one year.
With so many new children, their water supply couldn’t keep up with demand. When we visited the orphanage, they were turning off the water for at least 12 hours a day to refill the tank. So we funded an additional well for the orphanage to solve the problem. The new well was pumps 40 gallons of fresh water per minute.
