A core strength of Nuestro Pequeños Hermanos in La Venta, Honduras is their care for special needs children. When we first visited their campus, they had two houses for special needs children: Casa Emmanuel for boys with disabilities and Casa Maria Reina for the girls. These homes care for extremely handicapped children in need of more direct oversight and a specialized environment. But the orphanage was running out of space and soon would have to turn children away.
The World Orphan Fund provided a grant for $53,000 to build Casa Jean Baptiste for sixteen children, so Nuestro Pequeños Hermanos can continue accepting special-needs orphans.
