Casa Bernabe, an orphanage in Guatemala City, had the necessary infrastructure for vocational training for the 150 children living there. The problem was they couldn’t afford the teachers. The World Orphan Fund began funding three teachers for welding, cosmetology and culinary arts for three years. With the excitement from early success, they have recently found additional funding from a church to add a fourth program.
The cost of the program is $20,000 a year.
